Dante's corner, Turku. 26th January 2008

22.20 Diakhate
23.20 Flatliner's guild

00.20 Obedient Chaos

So we're back with these fuckin' gigdiaries what no-one reads...

Okay so on saturday 26th we went to our training crib, or whatever you want to call it, at about 15.15 or something like that to get our stuff together. We played a couple of songs and then packed our shit to our cars and left to Dante's corner.

We carried our stuff in and talked shit with a couple of guys from Flatliner's guild...oh, and had a few drinks. And it was propably the first time ever when we didn't get any free drinks etc. from the bar. It sucked a bit, but whatever, we would've brought our own liquer anyway. So after a while I decided to go get some booze.

When I got back, the amps and all that shit was put together and Obedient chaos were doing their soundcheck. After everybody had done their soundcheck the clock was around 18.30...it was the first time we were ready this early. This is how it's supposed to go. So we had time to drink and eat before the gig.

So Sipe, Splash and Paffa went to their own ways so me and Jussi picked up kebabs and went to Paffa's flat to eat and drink. Hell, we won't be sober this time...I was sober in Loimaa so I sure as hell wouldn't be sober this time.

So everybody arrived to Dante's around 9 pm and our show wouldn't start before 10, so we had time to drink and shoot shit. We drank, chatted, drank, chatted and then we drank a bit more. So we were quite ...let's say "jolly", when the clock was closer to 10 pm.

It was quite boring until the guys from Strikin' Case showed up. Man those guys were funny...and drunk. So it lightened the mood a bit, and it woke me up a bit 'cause for some reason I was quite tired. Well fuck that, let's drink some more.

Something past ten Antti "the roadcrew" Lundén went to speak us in and we rolled on stage. There were quite a few people watching...nice. Even Kari and Artturi, from noisecamp, had shown up.

So we started with Daddy's little girl and as usual, you couldn't hear shit on stage. Luckily I had an earplug on so I heard at least something what I was singin'. The songs went and the crowd was cheering a bit so I quess we didn't suck that bad.

Everybody seemed to like Hero of yesterday, which is one of the songs we're recording to the Underground Metal -ep.People we're really into it and I had a lot of fun playin' it. It really has that drive and power what makes a good livesong.

The gig went well but I really need to get some water on stage 'cause this time I only had Jack Daniels and it's not the best drink on stage. But what the hell, at least it cleared my throut a bit.

We also played Breathe, a cover of the song by Prodigy. We decided to take it in the set last sunday so it went how it went 'cause we played it all the way thru for the first time the night before this gig. We weren't supposed to play it on this gig, but due to numerous demands by our "official cameraman", Jan "Zoom" Airola, we decided to play it.

After the gig me, Paffa and Jussi ended up to Forte to drinks some more. And finally the next morning I woke up with a sore neck, sore throut, fuckin' hungry, hung-over and with a huge morning hard-on...

Anyway everything went quite ok and we earned so fucking much money that you can't even imagine...
