We left to Salo at about 6pm, so we had a LOT of time on our hands...We arrived at Maksim at about 7 pm, so we had 4 hours 'til our gig should start.

Well, we drank some beer and whisky and checked out the other bands that played before us. Mondo Bizarro was awesome! One of the best gigs that night, I think. Something past 8 they asked us to do an interview for Rock Rooster internetTV and me and Sakke did the interview. Funny thing, 'cause our band's name is Diakhate and the interviewing crew studied at DiAK so they got a laugh out of that one. The interview should be out in June.

So after we had made fools out of ourselves and Sakke had shown his hairy and tanned leg, we ate some food that was served in restaurant Maksim. We've never got any food on gigs, just liquid stuff, so thanks Maksim and Haven! There was still a couple of hours spare time...And we were, well at least I was, starting to get a bit drunk at this point. So it was water for me from that point on!

Extaasi started their show at 10pm and threw a good show. So then at about 20 to 11 Extaasi finished their set and we started to get our stuff together to the stage. FINALLY!

We got our shit together and when we started to check the balance of volume and our sounds, this announcer chick jumps to the stage and decides to speak us in...what the fuck?! No soundcheck? Well, fuck that..let's start the show then.

So the first song, KNIFE, started and I couldn't hear shit. Only thing I heared was Sakke bangin' his drums behind me and Jussi's guitar. I didn't even hear my own singin'! Thank fucking God I decided to put an earplug to my ear before the show. I banged my head so fucking much I almost passed out...

DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL was the second song on the set and still I didn't hear anything from the front monitor eventhough I asked the soundguy to put t up. After the song finished, the crowd cheered suprisingly loud. What the fuck? haha...Well everybody started to loosen up a bit on stage and then SO CALLED REMEDY kicked in.

BLOOD was the next song after REMEDY. Funny thing, we played it for the first time with this line-up the night before the show. Sipe had never even heared the song before the last rehersal and we haven't played it for long time...The last time was at the live-recordings at Noisecamp in 2005. But it went suprisingly good. I'm a bit impressed that Sipe learned the song that quickly. So good job Sipe, I'll buy you a beer sometime!

Well anyway, next song THE THING. It went ok and I saw people move a bit during this song, so at least someone liked it. We've played this song so fucking many times, so it's starting to get a bit boring but at least the audience seemed to like it.

At this point we started to warm up but we only had one song left...GODDAMN HERO. People seemed to respond to this song the most. This went good too, I think...you couldn't hear shit on stage, so I can't say for sure...

So the set ended and we started to get our shit off the stage. Some people came to congratulate for a good show...? ok...I quess we didn't suck so bad...haha!

After us, G.O.R.E started and they were fuckin' awesome. Much better than what I expected. They did a great show eventhough they had some drum-stick problems. But I definietly gotta check 'em out on gigs more often.

After G.O.R.E was Curimus. I was supposed to play one cover song with Curimus, but we had to leave 'cause Sakke had work the next morning. It's a shame 'cause I looked forward on playing the song with Curimus. But Juha-Matti (the guitarplayer for Curimus) was cool about it and asked the guitarplayer from G.O.R.E to fill the spot out.

Anyway, the whole evening was fun eventhough there were a LOT of waiting around. But big thanks to Juha-Matti (Curimus) for asking us to the show. And we'll see you guys in Huittinen! And then we'll kick ass even more! And we'll play the cover song then so fucking loud the audinence will be breathless!
