Studiodiary 4.11.2007

 

So, we finally started the recordings of our new album on thursday 1st of November. After a "few" technical difficulties we actually somethin' on tape....holy fucking shit!

We decided to try a bit different technique when recording. Usually we've done the drums first and then the bass and guitars. This time we started with the guitars. We're trying to do this "wall of guitars", really in-your-face guitars. And then the bass and then the drums. It's exciting to see what kind of shit we're able to come up with.

Anyway, we recorded the first guitar tracks for Hero of yesterday a couple of times and then "what the fuck?" the fire alarm goes off...Goddamn. We'll we went out and people came out from the building and no-one seemed to know what's goin' on. I can't see smoke anywhere, can't even smell smoke. Damn...I quess the alarm just went off. Fuck!

Well, back inside and we got the second guitar track recorded and we thougt that we'd record the bass track next for Hero of yesterday. But again, technical difficulties kick in and also this fucking elevator-"humppa"-fuckers started playin' in the next room. And the fuckin' same song they've played for the last year. Goddamn mothafuckas!!! Well we tried to record something, but because of the technical difficulties and the fuckers next door the mood for recording was long gone.

We'll continue the recordings after a few days when Sipe can also be there, 'cause he's the only one who really knows what to do with the recording equipment. Not that great start for this album...
